The sport of SOCCER is not without its risks and this or any other sports program may result in serious personal injury including paralysis. To reduce the risk of injury in your case, consult your physician before beginning this program. The instructions and advice presented on this DVD are designed to demonstrate basic soccer skills and movements that may be inherently dangerous. In addition to a uniform, the basic equipment your child will need before playing soccer include:
- shin guards
- soccer shoes with molded cleats or ribbed soles
- a soccer ball - of appropriate size for your child

In general, the training methods illustrated or recommended for
players reflects the practices of the authors at the time of the

players of the ages of the intended audience. The authors have made
an attempt to select skills and entities that illustrate these skills
and soccer challenges in a representative fashion, and to also select
topics and examples that illustrate basic principles in soccer.
As such, this educational program contains examples that illustrate
common problems encountered in the acquisition of proper skills
by developing players, and also common errors that occur in the
skills employed by players. The authors hope that this program will
allow players to improve their quality of play and their overall
success in soccer.
